Occupational Therapy
What is Occupational Therapy...
Occupational Therapy is a healthcare profession that helps to solve the problems that interfere with a person’s ability to do the activities/tasks that are important to them. Occupational Therapists consider all aspects of a person’s needs (psychological, physical, cognitive, social, cultural and environmental) to help them return to their activities after a disability, illness, accident or psychological dysfunction.
Occupational Therapists provide individualized treatment to empower and help people use strategies, develop skills and make modifications to enable their engagement in everyday activities such as:

-
Self-care: personal care activities, safely accessing and mobilizing in their home
-
Productivity: school, work, household activities, volunteering
-
Leisure: hobbies, sports, social activities
